50 years after everest was first conquered, it has become a tourist mountain. Every year, guided expeditions take an increasing number of climbers up its slopes. On May 10th, 1996, 16 guided climbers fought their way to the top of the world. But as they struggled to descend, a violent storm blew in. Blinded by snow, out of oxygen, and beyond the reach of rescue, they were exposed to the full fury of the mountain. Within 25 hours, five climbers were dead. Watch what the remaining 11 climbers had to face to survive the forces of nature.
